Terra Foundation, through its CSR Officer, Marie Annick Auguste, assumed the chair of the diabetes subcommittee of the Health Business Coalition (HBC). A three-part workshop was held on October 17th and 18th, 2012, to define the direction of the Ministry of Health, Foundations and NGOs in the fight against this national disease
This workshop allowed representatives of the Ministry of Health and Quality of Life to inform NGOs and other participants on the implementation status of the national plan ‘National Framework for Diabetes Service’, for the period 2007 to 2017, as well as upcoming projects. NGOs, for their part, were able to present their services and share their field experience and the difficulties that their beneficiaries have to face. A ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ is currently in preparation.
